The human identity is constructed upon a myriad of different factors, but at the same time, none define us better than that tendency to grow on a consistent basis. The stated tendency stands out mainly because it has brought us some huge milestones, with technology emerging as quite a major member of the group. The reason why we hold technology in such a high regard is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which took us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look beyond the surface for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component, in fact, did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and as a result, kickstart a full-blown tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving a feat so notable, technology will somehow continue to bring forth the right goods. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming one new construction-themed development ends up with the desired impact, it will only put that trend on a higher pedestal forward.
SmartPM, an Atlanta, Georgia-based company known for providing automated analytics in real-time, has officially unveiled a brand-new Executive Dashboard feature for its cloud-based schedule-analytics and project controls platform. According to certain reports, the stated Executive Dashboard is well-equipped to provide you with overall project insights for a company’s entire portfolio of ongoing projects, and it does so by aggregating schedule data across a number of mission-critical analytic categories, combining them, and producing a “macro view”, which in simpler terms, would mean an average of the performance in each category. The idea here is to let executives identify specific areas that regularly prove to be “project killers,”, and simultaneously, reinforce the elements that look to be making a fair bit of positive impact. Another area where the Executive Dashboard stands out is how it presents several different project-related parameters. You see, while SmartPM’s current dashboard features cumulative project totals, such as Total Projects, Projects Delayed, Projects on Track and Projects that Need New Schedules, the new iteration delivers at your disposal parameters like Average Project Health Index, Average Schedule Quality Index, Average Compression Index, Average SPI, and Average Finish Variance.
“Our SmartPM platform has always provided customers with the necessary intelligence to help them improve schedule quality and mitigate risk on individual projects. Now, our new Executive Dashboard will help company executives get a better sense of how their projects are performing as a whole while identifying repeated problem areas that can’t always be seen by analyzing projects one at a time. In the bigger picture, it will help them craft a strategy on how to improve their business and empower them with clear KPIs to ensure they are moving in the right direction,” said Michael Pink, CEO of SmartPM Technologies.
Beyond these usual insights, though, the Executive Dashboard even allows you to access measures like segregating projects together by region or country. This should be of huge help when trying to spot weak spots based on geographics. Not just negatives, the dashboard’s geographical heat maps can even be used to identify your prime locations based on quality, compression, performance, and other criteria.
